EPISODE SYNOPSIS
Ep. 1 – Colorado: The inspiration for the Stephen King horror classic ‘The Shining’ The Stanley Hotel is said to be the home of terrifying paranormal activity. Guests have reported hearing children playing in the long imposing corridors in the middle of the night and others have had to flee their rooms, unable to talk about what they have witnessed.
The investigation team headed straight for the areas which were known to have the most paranormal activity, the 4th floor & room 401. Room 401 didn’t disappoint and Yvette and the team managed to catch the cupboard door opening on camera.
Ep. 2 - Kentucky: Thought to be one of the most haunted locations in North America, the Waverly Hills Sanatorium Kentucky is a truly a horrific location. The Most Haunted team were pushed to their limits at this old run down and derelict Hospital. The team carried out a massive group walk-around, because they were too scared to be alone at first, which produced activity that shocked them all. Most disturbing of all were the deep scratches that appeared on Karl’s body during a violent vigil when he, Brian and Stuart were in the Morgue.
Ep. 3 – West Virginia: Still in operation as a maximum security prison up until 1995 the West Virginia State Penitentiary has a very gruesome past and is reported that some of its most violent inmates have hung around to terrorise anyone that dares enter into their world. The investigation team agreed the prison was one of the scariest places they had ever investigated, and the prison didn’t fail to deliver on the terror levels. The most memorable moment from the investigation came when the team were put into separate cells by a prison warden and made to conducted vigils separately until one of them cracked from fear. Genuinely one of the scariest locations ever seen on Most Haunted.
Ep. 4 – New York: The name Sleepy Hollow is engraved in popular culture and is synonymous with perhaps one of the most famous ghost stories in he world, that of the Headless Horseman. The Most Haunted team headed down to the cemetery and set up camp at the location of the infamous wooden bridge which is said to have the hooves of the famous horseman galloping across it in the dead of night. The investigation proved eventful with the team believing there was something watching their every move in the woods surrounding this most iconic of cemeteries.
Ep. 5 – Connecticut: One of the most unusual locations seen on most Haunted, the New London Lodge Lighthouse in Connecticut set the investigation team adrift, isolated for an entire night of investigation. A séance in the cellar of this peculiar location introduced us to an old resident and the gentleman in question kept us company all night for what proved to be a terrifying investigation.
Ep. 6 – Delaware: Originally built to protect the ports of Philadelphia and Wilmington from invasion then home to some 13000 prisoners, Fort Delaware is a huge imposing location. With so many different places over such a large area, the team had their work cut out to investigate the Fort before sunrise. One of the most spectacular pieces of activity which was caught throughout the filming of the entire series was from the fort - in the form of EVP when a voice was caught on tape clearly saying ‘get out’ during a particularly scary vigil.
Ep. 7 – New Jersey: Perched on the southernmost tip of New Jersey the southern mansion dates back from 1863. Originally a seaside palace which was the summer estate used by rich industrialist George Allen and his family for 83 years. Now although a high class, glorious Bed and Breakfast, the southern mansion still has a few residents from its past hanging around to surprise some unsuspecting guests. The Most Haunted team investigated several bedrooms at the mansion and although found evidence of paranormal activity it was in the basement that things really happened. Unexplained noises, bangs and whispers kept the investigation team gripped with fear throughout the night.
Ep. 8 – Staten Island: The Conference House, or Billop House as it is sometimes known, is a colonial mansion on Staten Island, New York. It is historically significant because a peace conference was held there in an attempt to stop the Revolutionary War.
The investigation team held a large group séance in the kitchen basement of the house and the results were amazing. Noises, moans and taps coming from all over the house, this was even more impressive as every member of the team could be accounted for in the basement of the house at the time. The ghost of a little girl makes her presence known with a playful demeanour.
