SKY ONE HAS PICKED UP THE RIGHTS TO "CAPRICA" THE BATTLESTAR GALACTICA PREQUEL

Sky One has secured the exclusive U.K. TV rights to "Caprica" from NBC Universal International Television Distribution. Produced by NBC Universal Cable Studio, the two-hour special stars Eric Stoltz ("The Mask"), Esai Morales ("NYPD Blue," "Jericho") and Paula Malcolmson ("ER," "Deadwood").

Set 51 years before the events depicted in the re-imagined series,Battlestar Galactica, Caprica revolves around the entanglements of the Adamas and the Greystones. The worlds of Joseph Adama, father of future Battlestar commander William Adama, and Daniel Greystone, an super wealthy technocrat, crash together when their daughters are lost in an act of religious terrorism.

Daniel becomes obsessed with bringing his dead child back to life and uses his enormous wealth to achieve his goal. His achievements in robotics and AI are oposed by Joseph Adama, a civil liberties lawyer.
