Season two continues to follow the inhabitants of the quiet town of Eureka, where the world's most intelligent people live after being relocated by the US government. The citizens use their brainpower to create advanced scientific inventions for the country's benefit, but not without comedic complication, as their supreme intellect regularly collides with disorder in the most secretive town in America.
The second season charts Jack Carter's (Colin Ferguson) continuing efforts to maintain order in Eureka, saving the residents from the chaos which often has an impact on the rest of the world. The season opens with Carter investigating the curious deaths of several citizens of Eureka, who are spontaneously combusting with no obvious explanation. Odd goings on continue throughout each new episode, from debris falling from the sky at a school science fair in Duck, Duck, Goose to the town's metals inexplicably turning themselves to gold in ‘All That Glitters'.
An outstanding cast, including Joe Morton (Ali, American Gangster) and Salli Richardson-Whitfield (I Am Legend) return to portray an array of oddball genius characters, supporting Colin Ferguson in his leading role as accidental hero Jack Carter. The cast convey the eerie circumstances of the series with style and wit, reminding viewers of how A Town Called Eureka has successfully redefined sci-fi as we know it.
