Trailer

Dr Robert Chase is played by Australian actor Jesse Spenceri n the award winning TV drama written by David Shore, House M.D. Jesse Spencer makes up the third member of Dr Gregory House's Dignostic team at the Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital in New Jersey. He is the only one of the team who does not have to worry about money as he comes from an extremely wealthy family. He may not worry about money but his alcaholic mother and his driven dominant and successful father have left him with plenty of problems. He is the teams cardiologist and intensive care specialist, he did not always want to be a doctor and attended a seminary with the plan to become a priest.

His emotional problems and his air of lost cause makes him a very attractive proposition to Dr Allison Cameron and they slowly move from a relaxed dating/casual sex relationship to something deeper.

House continuously winds Chase up by accusing him of being British, something which as a patriotis Aussie he hates. As House says "You have the Queen on your money that makes you British".

Jesse Spencer was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on the 12th of february 1979, he wanted to act from an early age and as a teenager became the hearthrob of a generation as Billy Kennedy in the Australian Soap "Neighbours" and Ausie cop show "Blu Heelers" he moved to the UK and appeared in Lorna Doone and then onto the US where he achieved fame alongside Dakota Fleming and Brittany Murphy. He shared a flat with James McAvoy (Last King of Scotland, Atonement) and they remain friends to this day.

Interestingly Jesse Spencer's father and both his older brothers are doctors, and he is on record as saying that if he had not been an actor he would definitely have followed a medical career as he finds it fascinating.

Jesse Spencer lives in Los Angeles and is presently single, his engagement to fellow House cast member Jennifer Morrision was broken off in 2007.
