Zachary Quinto plays the sinister and dangerous Sylar in the Hit Tv series Heroes. Sylar is definitley a an ordinary person with extraordinary powers who has embraced the dark side which his powers offer him. Sylar is th assumed name of Gabriel Grey a watch maker who takes the name Sylar froma make of watch, he is driven to see what makes people tick (during the first season his appearance is marked by the soundtrack of a ticking watch), something he is able to tell when he, literally, looks inside their heads. He then acquires whatever the particular extraordinary gift his victim possessed.
As the plot develops, or more accurately, thickens Sylars motivation, his surprising heritage and his true nature (he is not all bad) come to light. Many fans say that Sylar is definitely one of the more interesting characters in the show, and Zachary Quinto plays the role with an underlying intelligence and menace which deserves great praise.
Zachary Quinto was born on June the 7th 1977 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is of Irish and Italian descent. After leaving Drama school in 1999 Zachary Quinto has steadily built a career in TV, appearing in such hit shows as CSI, Touched by an Angel, Chrarmed, Six Feet Under and many more.And it was in 2003 that he landed his first important supporting role in the series 24, in which he played computer geek (expert) Adam Kaufman. But is was as Sylar the quiet introspective but dangerously powerful character in Heroes that he has won worldwide recognition. In fact it was this role which led to probably one of Sci Fi's most coveted roles, that of Spok in the latest remake if Star Trek, directed by Lost creator JJ Abrams. The role came with the blessing of Leonard Nemoy himself.
