Jack Coleman plays the mysterious Noah Bennet, aka HRG (Horn Rimmed GLasses), on the surface he seems to be a boring suburban dad working in an ordinary middle size paper company Primatech Paper Company in Odessa, Texas. the reality is a great deal more sinister, he is in fact an operative who together with a "gifted" partner, "The Haitian", tracks observes and occasionally stops the ever increasing number of ordinary individuals who are developing special and sometimes very dangerous special abilities. Although Noah is aware, and accepts the morally questionable aspects of his job, including the assasination of particular individuals, his live for Claire, his gifted step daughter, and is growing suspicians that the organisations aims may not be truly altruistic lead Noah Bennet to make decisions which will effect him and his family for ever.
Jack Coleman was born on February the 21st, Nineteen Fifty Eight in Easton Pennsylvania. Jack Coleman would probably make a perfect candidate for the BBc TV show "Who Do You Think You Are?" as sixth generation back in his geneological tree in US President Benjamin Franklin who in turn was releated to Calvin Coolidge. Even further back Jack Coleman's family is related to Scottish royalty and the Earls of Orkney. Jacks path has been a little less regal, after finishing university in nineteen eighty he moved to Los Angeles to become an actor and by the following year had landed the role of Steven Carrington in Dynasty, the first openly gay character to appear on prime time TV in the United States. After the show finished Jack Coleman said "After a hit show is over, you soon realize this is a very tough business ... brutally tough. But I'm a better actor and I have more gravitas than I had at 24 with bleached-blonde hair."
After Dynasty and short break, Jack Coleman went on to become a mainstay character actor in many big US TV shows, CSI, Entourage, Without a Trace, Nip/Tuck, Kingdom Hospital, and many more. For the full list see below.
Jack Coleman is married to Beth Toussaint (you may have seen her in Star Trek) they have a daughter, Tess, born in 1999 and they presently live in Los Angeles.
