Hayden Panettiere plays Claire Bennet one of the pivotal characters in "Heroes". The show is an ensemble piece involving numerous characters, some good some bad, some with powers some without, but one character appears to link them, certainly in the first series, and that character is Claire Bennet.
Claire Bennet is in fact the subject of the first seasons strap line "save the cheerleader and save the planet" which became a huge internet phenomenom. Claire Bennet is the step-daughter of Noah Bennet a man she beleives to be an ordinary Texan business man working for a small paper company in Odessa Texas. In fact he is an agent for The Company a shadowy organsiation involved in controlling those who have developed, or who are developing special powers. Claire has developed the ability to heal almost instantaneously and is bewildered and upset by this special ability, all she wants is to be "normal". How she comes to terms with this and the identity of her true parents, and how her fate will effect the planet can be seen in Season One.
Hayden Panettiere was born on 21st August 1989 in New York. Her mother, Lesley was responsible for getting Hayden started in show business by going to castings for commercials when she was barely eleven months old. A veteran performer at the age of four and a half, Hayden Panettiere was cast on the day time drama, or "soap" One Life To Live, in which she grew up in front of the camera, she left the show in 1997. Since that time her career has gone from strength to strength. For somebody so young Hayden has appeared in an incredible number of movies and TV shows, including Ice Princess, The Architect opposite Anthony La Paglia, Shanghai Kiss, Bring it On: All or Nothing, Joe Somebody as Tim Allens daughter, Remember the Titans with Denzel Washington, Raising Helen, Message in a Bottle with Kevin Costner, Object of my Affection with Jennifer Anniston, The Affair of the Necklace with Hilary Swank.
Hayden Panettiere lives between New York and LA and was for a time dating her fellow Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia, that relationship was reported to have ended in February 2009, the two remain friends. In Season 4 Claire Bennet shares a Lesbian Kiss with her roomate Gretchen, this has caused all sorts of uproar in conservative america.
In 2010 Hayden will be appearing in Alpha & Omega, carmel and Hoodwinked Too! Hood VS.Evil
