Season 4 - Vol 5 "Redemptions".  opens with the following episode

Claire, back home in California, begins attending college, but is having difficulty adjusting when a mysterious death of a student during the orientation puts her back in the spotlight. In Japan, Hiro and Ando continue their quest to help people with abilities and go so much as to advertise themselves. Meanwhile, Angela fears Nathan/Syler will discover his true identity. Matt tries to settle down back in Los Angeles and raise his son and not worry about unexpected visitors. Elsewhere, Peter is using his ability for good when a mysterious carnival clan, led by Samuel Sullivan, arrives in town which could spell trouble for him and everyone else.

Season 3 - "Villains"

New omens signal a new catastrophe ahead, new and familiar adversaries begin to gather and everyone will be tested, Heroes become Villains and Villians seem to become Heroes. We are introduced to a whole new cast of characters some evil some good bot all of whom have extraordinary powers.

With his abilities returned to him, serial killer Sylar (Zachary Quinto) relentlessly continues to accumulate other people's abilities, which leads him to the Bennet house. Bound to a secret company with a keen interest in people like his daughter, Noah Bennet" aka H.R.G., (Jack Coleman), finds new purpose when his most dangerous, enemies break out of custody on Level 5 and must be captured and returned. Knocked off balance Reeling by recent events and revelations, Claire Bennet (Hayden Panettiere), struggles to find her identity and place in a world which appears to be spinning out of control.

An incredible heroic act uncovers Niki Sanders (Ali Larter) incredible secret . In Tokyo, Hiro, heir to Yamagato Industries, played by Masi Oka uses his gift to manipulate time and leaps into unbeleivable, adventures with his side kick and close friend, Ando Masahashi (James Kyson Lee).

 There is an attempt to assasinate politician Nathan Petrelli (Adrian Pasdar) which in turn takes some of the Heroes on a deeply spiritual journey to find an explaination for Nathans ability to fly. Peter (Milo Ventimiglia)his younger brother, confronts finds the future and present colliding as his many abilities lead him to discover that the only way to end the catastrophic moment facing the world is to do the unthinkable. Meanwhile, their mother Angela (Cristine Rose) shows herself to be compeltely ruthless and her associates continue to implement their intricate and complex plans to change the world, forever.

Ex Cop, Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg) learns new ways to use his ever growing and expanding abilities to hear and manipulate other's thoughts from an unlikely guide. Dr. Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy), the Indian genetics professor, takes a dangerous turn into darkness as he continues his research into the Heroes living amongst us. Far from her Dominican Republic home, Maya Henera (Dania Ramirez), who causes death when filled with fear or anger, begs Suresh to cure her - only to watch helplessly as he embraces his evil side.C an they save the world?

Season 2 - "Origins"
Initially planned to last for 23 episodes this season was reduced to only 11 due to the writers strike.
Season 1 ended with a showdown between the Heroes in Kirby Plaza New York, a showdown which changed the lives of the survivors for ever. Kring introduces an number of new characters with new and incredible powers and the origin and nature of the the Company starts to be uncovered.As the season progresses it becomes clear that the world is threatened by an apocalyptic threat: a mysterious virus.

Season 1 - "Genesis"
Heroes begins on the day of a solar eclipse. Ordinary people all around the world begin to discover they have extraordinary powers and super human abilities. An artist who can paint the future and a young Japanese man who can travel through time begin to realize that an explosion will destroy New York and possibly the world. Mix into the plot a flying politician, a serial killer who is absorbing peoples powers, a cop who can read minds an indestructable cheer leader and a mysterious secret organization called The Company and you have many of the ingredients which made this first season such a massive success.

The look and feel of the show was inspired by the comic book tradition and focuses on ordinary people who, after a solar eclipse, begin to manifest the extraordinary powers of superheroes. In fact all the art in the movie is the work of graphic artist Tim Sale.
The show has enjoyed both critical and popular acclaim, and has been nominated for Golden Globes, Primetime Emmy's and innumerable other US and International awards, eventually winning over 18 in it's first year. The viewing figures testify to Heroes ability to capture and hold an audience, over 14 million tuned in during the first season making the show the highest rated NBC show in over 5 years.
