Doctor smokes-a-lot runs what looks to be the only hospital in a population of 50 thousand odd (sue me, I don’t pay attention to the high-score counter at the beginning of the show), on his own. And he always seems to have time to hang out with the main characters, have a fag and shoot the breeze about how one of them is going to die. How is this possible? Surely he has his hands full to bursting with all of the space wounds incurred by a life of regular battle and all other kinds of dangerous crap they get up to, but no, even when they gave him a subordinate, Helo got all red-raced-righteous and fired him for being a racist. only possible answer HES A CYLON ROBOT MASTER-DOCTOR. And a lot of people just die.

I think you will find that one hospital and one doctor to every 50k is probably way ahead of the NHS. Anyway smoking, like drinking and all the other fun stuff is actually safe in the future….. something to do with the gamma rays

Thinking about it, theres been more drug addicts of various strips in BSG than in Hollyoaks. What is it so far: One high-profile and various supporting acidheads, an entire ships worth of varying degrees of alcholics, one speedfreak, one smoker and a masturbation addict. I love the show, but its funny how often ‘gritty’ converges with ‘make everyone an asshole in some way or another’. Particularly Tigh and his revolving eyeballs – I havent got to see any of series 4 yet (have virgin not sky, booo), but I look forward to seeing Tigh finish his transformation into Fagin.

I think you will find that is Tigh’s revolving Eyeball, singular…..I quite like the fact that all these people drink and smoke gives one hope for the future. Just a thought, in the first series the press corp seemed to have alot of power, where did they all go.

They do! Number 3 played by Xena the Warrior Princess (Lucy Lawless) had a vice. She wanted to know what happens to you after your die, which is why she kept killing herself over and over to be resurrected. It’s why they boxed all of her models.

Does that count as a vice, self harm maybe, I was thinking more of drugs or sex.
