What I remember most about incredible Hulk is that he was green and mean. He was a product of an experiment right? If I'm not mistaken. Can you help me recall why he turns green again?

Incredible Hulk is not a product of experiment. It was an accident that he got caught in a blast. Although he survived the deadly gamma explosion, he changes to a green Hulk due to the release of adrenaline when he gets intensely excited, regardless of the time of day.

Incredible Hulk grows big and strong and turns green when he is angry or excited. His strength is limitless. I watched this when I was still young. I felt for him every time he changes back to his original built and he had to look for clothes to wear.

Did the Hulk movies take liberty with the explanation of the origin of his powers?

I seem to remember that maybe one of them used the storyline that there was an accident in the course of an experiment? I assume the deciding reference material would be the Marvel comics.

Yes they did. The series made it so that he experimented with gamma radiation on himself.
The first recent movie made it an accident in a labratory(In the comics its a military testing ground and deals with a gamma bomb) and the latest one takes the series as a base and goes on from there. Conclusion none of them takes the explaination the comics used.

Well Hulk turns green when he was kind of mad or angry with someone or when provoke..and yeah you're right he was a product of a research or something related to that effect..have you seen the latest hulk movie?
