Veteran american actor Matt Frewer plays Dr Jim Taggart in the hit Sci Fi Drama/Comedy A Town Called Eureka penned by Andrew Cosby & Jaime Paglia. Dr Jim Taggart is Eureka's vetinary surgeon and "biological containment expert" a sort of Uber dog catcher. He appears to be an Aussie, although this may or may not be true, he knows and can track and catch every type of animal and has designed and built the necessary equipment to achive this end. His personal "Moby Dick" is a dog called "Lowjack" a stray dog who appears all over town but seems to evade every attempt Taggart makes to capture him, a little like Roadrunner and Wile.E.Coyote. It appears that in typical Eureka style, Lowjack maybe more than just an ordinary dog.

Dr Jim Taggart has romantic feelings for Deputy Jo Lupino, which may or may not be reciprocated, to tell more would be a spoiler.
