Joe Morton - Henry Deacon

Joe Morton plays one of the pivotal characters Henry Deacon in the hit sci fi drama/comedy A Town Called Eureka penned by Andrew Cosby & Jaime Paglia. Henry Deacon works in the Eureka, garage and fixes cars, at least this is what he appears to do if you happen to stumble across Eureka as Jack Carter did. In fact Henry Deacon is in fact a retired Space Engineer and inventor able to fix and improve just about any machine. Of course in the process of developing his new and improved machines they do have a tendency to expode. He is also Eureka's mayor and Coroner, a job which is suprisingly busy for a town as small as Eureka.

Henry has a darker side and like all geniuses has his own agenda, he is obsessed with finding out what Bevely Barlowe is up to and show she is responsible for the death of his beloved Kim.

Joe Morton was born in The Bronx, New York on the 18th of October 1947, his father was a US Army Intelligence Officer which resulted in him spending much of his childhood in Okinawa and what was then West Germany. His made his Broadway debut in the musical "Hair" and was nominated for a Tony in 1974 for his part in the musical "Raisin".

In 1970 he made his TV debut in an episode of the Cult TV show, Mission Impossible and went on in the 70's to appear in M*A*S*H, Grady, Lawman Without a Gun amongst others. In the Eighties and Nineties he appeared on TV in Miami Vice, The Equalizer, Tribeca, Homicide Life on the Street, Under One Roof, mercy point and many more. The new millenium saw Joe Morton on Tv in The X Files, Smallville, Law & order SVU, Law & Order, House MD, JAG, Numbers, CSI New York amongst others.

Joe Morton has also appeared in over 70 feature films, including Terminator 2 Judgement Day, The Astronaut's Wife, Blues Brothers 2000. Speed, Ali with Will Smith, American Gangster with Denzel Washington and next year he will be seen in The Mulberry Tree.

Joe Morton has also worked as a director including an episode of Eureka.

Joe Morton is married and lives in New York he has three children and one Grandson.
