It can be confusing so we have to be careful on this one, Tracy Morgan plays Tracy Jordan in the Liz Lemon, sorry Tina Fey penned award winning comedy 30 Rock. Tracy Jordan is one of those difficult, high maintanence stars who make working on TGS that little bit more difficult for everyone, expecially Liz Lemon and Kenneth. Tracy Jordan is a successful movie star, possibly based on an Eddie Murphy/Chris Rock type character, he feels he has to project a crazy persona which is no way hidered by the fact that he is pretty unstable in real life. His antics include trying to stab talk show host Conan O'Brien, showing his bare bum on love TV, getting arrested for walking into an airport in the nude and biting actress Dakota Fanning on the face. Despite this behaviour he is deeply in love with his wife Angie and has two beautiful children named Tracy Jr and George Foreman.

The actor and comedian Tracy Morgan was born in Brooklyn New York on November the 10th 1968 the son of a succesful musician Jimmy Morgan. Tracy Morgan began his career in New York as a Stand Up comedian and was discovered whilst performing at the legendary Apollo theatre in 1984. Tracy Morgan appeared on the TV show "Martin" and with Chris Rock in the movie "Head of State". He was a regular on Saturday Night Live from 1996 to 2003 when he left for his own shortlived TV show "The Tracy Morgan Show".

His work on 30 Rock won him a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series at the 2009 Emmy Awards.

Many of Tracy's personal problems including having to wear a  Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring (SCRAM) ankle bracelet have been incorporated into his roles in 30 Rock.

Projects in production for Tracy Morgan are Death at a Funeral, A Couple of Dicks and Nailed.
