Scott Adsit plays Pete Hornberger the producer of the fictional show TGS with Tracy Jordan on the Tina Fey penned hit comedy show 30 Rock.£0 Rock has just won Best Comedy show Emmy for the second year running, thas 2008 & 2009 an almost unequaled achievement. Pete Hornberger and Fey's character, Liz lemon have known each other for ten years (a fact which is reflected in real life). Before his career in TV Pete wanted to be a politician like his father a United States Congressman, but was unable to do so after a "Drunk In Charge" arrest. He also qualified for the Olympics as an Archer but was again frustrated when the US did not attend in 1980.

He is a frustrated man, and when Liz tried to tell the show's nubile receptionist, Cerie Xerox, to dress more professionally. He told Liz that, as a bald middle-aged man, he had little joy in his life and asked that he be allowed to have "this one thing." When she argued that this was inappropriate, Pete became very agitated and screamed that Liz was inappropriate with her big stupid face.

A seasoned improv and sketch performer from Second City in Chicago, Adsit has appeared in countless television shows including "Felicity," "Monk" and the influential sketch comedy shows "Mr. Show" and "Tenacious D." Adsit has guest-starred on "The Office," "Malcolm in the Middle," "Huff," "Alias," "CSI Miami," "Friends" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm." His feature credits include the Christopher Guest comedy "For Your Consideration," and he has starred in "The Bad News Bears," "Kicking and Screaming," "The Terminal," "The Italian Job" and the critically praised indie film "Lovely and Amazing."

30 Rock has won Best Comedy Emmy twice in a row, 2008 and 2009, this is in no small part due to Scotts work on the show. Scott Adsit can be seen next year in the movies "Last Night" as Stuart and in "The Informant" as Sid Hulse.
