Alec Baldwin - Jack Donaghy

Alec Baldwin plays network executive Jack Donaghy in the Tina Fey scripted award winning comedy TV show "30 Rock". Jack Donaghy is one of Tina Feys most inspired comedy creations, and Alec Baldwin plays him to perfection.

Jack Donaghy had a very poor childhhod, both emotionally and financially, his father tried to push him into a swimming pool his mother blamed him for everything including the assasination of JFK. Jack was able to drag himself up and out of this poor background winning a place at Princeton where he was a class mate of Michelle Obama. On leaving education he went to work for Edward Kennedy where he embraced the liberal world view. At some point as yet to be revealed he has had a complete change of political orientation and is now what can only be descibed as a rabid republican hawk. After years as an adrenalin junky, climbing mountings, hunting polar bears with a bow an arrow, and running unbeleiveable risks he rose to fame in GE (the parent company of NBC) by inventing and selling the Trivection Oven. A product which gained such enormous commercial success that Jack Donaghy was promoted to Vice President of East Coast Television and Microwave Oven Programming his present position in which he is Liz Lemons boss. His drive and ambition will take him to the very top, he beleives.

Alec Baldwin was born on the third of April 1958 in Massapequa, Long Island, New York, USA. the best known and the oldest of the Baldwin brothers. In the hit movie "Clueless" the Beverly Hills/Valley Girl slang for a hot guy was "he is an absolute Baldwin".

His movie career has included appearances in Beetlejuice, The Departed, The Aviator, The Cooler and The Shadow, The Edge and many many more. His TV work is no less impressive, he has appeared on Friends, Will & Grace, Law & Order, Nip/Tuck and Las Vegas again amongst many others. In the US he was also the narrator of Thomas The Tank Engine.

For 30 Rock Alec Baldwin has won both a Golden Globe and an Emmy, and his career path proves he can play drama, comedy, leading man and supporting roles. A truly gifted actor.
